Jeffrey A. Mallan, CPA, CFF, CFE
Jeffrey A. Mallan, CPA, CFF, CFE
Jeffrey A. Mallan is a forensic accountant and internal control consultant with Mallan & Associates and is passionate about fighting and preventing white collar financial crime. He has more than twenty years of experience in the fields of accounting and auditing which includes seven years within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). In his last DoD position, Jeff contributed to the development of a fraud detection system and assisted investigators in uncovering unauthorized transactions using computer data-mining techniques.
Jeff has worked on a variety of litigation and dispute-related accounting projects, including financial fraud/forensic examinations, lost-profit analysis, partner/shareholder disagreements, and economic damages assessments. Jeff also has extensive experience in financial statement audits and SOX 404 consulting engagements. Jeff’s work has involved entities in the areas of construction, commercial fishing/seafood, distributing, food services, government, high-technology, life science, manufacturing, not-for-profit, real estate, retail, tourism, and transportation.
Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant, a CPA Certified in Financial Forensics, a Certified Fraud Examiner, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jeff is coordinator and founder of the North Bay Alliance of Certified Fraud Examiners (NBACFE). Jeff is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and an associate member of the Sonoma County Bar Association. He received his B.S. degree in Accounting from East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma. In addition, Jeff is a volunteer for the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office and has performed pro bono work for the Napa County District Attorney's Office.
